As Millennium continues to expand our premium golf disc line, we are excited to introduce our new “Experimental Series 2” for newcomers. This innovative series offers a fresh twist on our manufacturing process, bringing unreleased molds and configurations to the market. The ES2 is the second release in this series, featuring a stable control driver platform that is PDGA approved for sanctioned play. Our goal with this mold was to provide a stable control driver for all arm speeds, with target flight numbers of 10/6/-1/2. The initial prototype run in Sirius plastic boasts a grippy and shiny finish, as well as a complementary dome on the wing. We were confident in its potential for success on the course when we received these discs from our molding partner for our initial public offering. Feedback from testers with slower arm speeds (40-55 MPH) has been positive, with many noting the ES2’s ability to hold a line for a significant portion of the flight before finishing with a flat to hyzer fade when thrown with a slight anhyzer angle. This versatility makes it a valuable addition to any disc golf bag. For testers with faster arm speeds (55-70 MPH), the ES2 offers a subtle flip up off the shelves, allowing for a variety of shot shapes on the course. Our team members have found it to be a useful bridge between their Scorpius and Orion discs. A pro tip for players struggling to achieve the desired flight characteristics with any disc: consider dropping down a few grams in weight when purchasing your next disc. Opting for a mid-weight (160-168 grams) instead of a max weight may help, and if the issue persists, trying an even lighter weight could be beneficial. Remember to play smart, keep it simple, and throw Millennium.
