The highly anticipated 2024 PDGA Pro World Championship, co-sponsored by Innova, kicks off on Wednesday, August 21st in Lynchburg, Virginia. The world’s best players will be competing on two brand new disc golf courses, never before seen on the Tour or at a Major. The Innova Champion Course at Ivy Hill and the Discraft Course at New London offer distinct challenges that will put the full range of a top pro’s skills to the test. The Disc Golf Network will be broadcasting all tournament rounds live, for both FPO and MPO divisions. FPO coverage begins with Tournament Central at 9:00 a.m. ET, followed by the lead card teeing off at 9:30. MPO coverage starts with Tournament Central at 2:45 PM ET, with the lead card teeing off at 3:15. PDGA members can watch the first two rounds for free through DGN. For those who prefer to watch in person, tickets are still available through Disc Golf Scene. Experience the excitement of 500+ foot drives, nail-biting putts, and intense competition as the top athletes battle for the prestigious title. With the tournament being played on new courses, it’s difficult to predict who will come out on top. At Innova, we’re hoping to see a new champion emerge. Calvin Heimburg, the highest-rated MPO athlete without a Major win, has already claimed two victories on Tour this season and took 2nd place at the last DGPT event. Ohn Scoggins has won almost every tier of tournament, in both age-protected and Open divisions, except for an FPO Major title. She is coming off a recent win at Idlewild and also took home the Worlds Mixed Doubles title with her Innova teammate Joel Freeman. Eveliina Salonen, who already has a Major win this season, is a force to be reckoned with when she’s playing at her best.
