​ ​The Fireworks in Des Moines Team Innova experienced a series of impressive achievements at last weekend’s 2024 Des Moines Challenge. Despite always striving for victory, the team also takes pride in celebrating smaller successes. The event saw hot rounds, a standout throw, a new course record, and more, all captured in a post on Innova Discs’ Instagram page. One notable highlight was Ohn Scoggins’ record-breaking performance at Pickard Park, where he delivered a flawless round with a 1025 rating and a perfect 100% putting percentage from C1x, along with 3 out of 8 successful attempts from C2. Another standout moment came from Vinny Heimburg, who made an impressive 162-foot birdie shot on hole two, showcasing his exceptional skills on the final day. Emerson Keith also had a notable performance, tying for 11th place and achieving his best result on the DGPT tour this year. Hailey King also made a strong start to the event, shooting a 1013-rated, -6 round. The 2024 Des Moines Challenge was the last DGPT event in the United States until August, with the upcoming 2024 Krokhol Open in Norway and the PDGA Major, European Open, where Team Innova’s Bradley Williams, Eveliina Salonen, and Henna Blomroos will be competing.
