Back-to-Back Vinny Victories: 2024 OTB Open Champion

Innova’s winning streak continues as Calvin Heimburg secures back-to-back DGPT victories at the 2024 OTB Open, joining Eveliina Salonen who also achieved back-to-back wins at the Champions Cup and Copenhagen Open. This marks four consecutive tournaments with an Innova athlete taking the top spot.

Vin Calvin Heimburg has once again made an impressive comeback, winning back-to-back tournaments for the first time in his career. At the 2024 OTB Open, he entered the final round trailing by one stroke but emerged with a two-stroke lead over Gavin Rathbun. Calvin led the field in Parked percentage, Strokes Gained Tee to Green, and C1 Hits in Regulation, making it difficult for anyone to beat him. This is the third year in a row that Vinny has won more than one DGPT event, making him the only MPO player to achieve this. His latest victory ties him for the 6th most DGPT Elite wins of all time and puts him in 4th place for the most comeback wins at DGPT Elites. With his consistent play style, Calvin may very well be the player of the decade.

Randon Latta, who has been on the tour for 4 years and has played in 30 events, earned his first DGPT podium finish at the 2024 OTB Open. He started the final round tied for 15th place but tied the course record with a score of -13, including 12 birdies and one eagle. This impressive performance earned him a payout of $5,000, almost double his previous best. Randon tied with Calvin for 1st place in C1 Hits in Regulation and had a perfect C1x putting rate in the final round. With his consistent improvement this year, Randon could be the next new Champion for Team Innova.

Other notable performances from Team Innova include Garrett Gurthie’s 10th place finish, where he ranked 2nd in Strokes Gained Tee to Green, and Bradley Williams’ tie for 13th place, where he had the best Scrambling rate in the field. Bradley also had an incredible 424-foot throw-in for birdie on hole 16 in the first round.

Kat Mertsch also had her best finish so far this year, landing in a unique position without replacing any technical terms.
